This Grade II Listed stone Welsh Farmhouse and its outbuildings were built circ. 1800. A warm and welcoming house with a host of original features remaining including slate floors, beamed ceilings, hand-carved oak floors and inglenook fireplaces. It is set in one acre with its own barn, cart sheds, old forge (now a shed) and Grade II listed stone pigsties! There a beautiful views from the front of the house over the water meadows, tree-clad mountains behind and fields either side.
The historic village of Harlech with its castle and beautiful sandy beach together with the town of Porthmadog with its sailing facilities and sandy drive-on beach are only 7 miles. The Italianate village of Portmeirion is a short distance from the house. Snowdonia, is a great place for walking in the mountains - the Cader Idris Range is on the doorstep.

Felin Rhyd Fawr is a delightful Welsh self-catering house in a rural setting with stunning views. It has recently been renovated and provides very comfortable accommodation for 10 people, whilst retaining its historic features. There is a drive into the property between the House and the Barn (which can be let separately) with ample parking for up to five cars.
There are five wonderful bedrooms - one of which is ensuite and three twins bedrooms - two of these bedrooms interconnect making it ideal for families with young children. In addition, there is a family bathroom with large walk-in airing cupboard. The house can provide further sleeping accommodation if needed using a sofa bed (double) in the sitting room. A cot and camp beds are available on request.
There is an enchanting sitting room with an inglenook fireplace and a solid fuel stove. In addition, a separate dining room with large oak table seating ten, perfect for those large get-togethers. A study has been created from the former stable and also a further reception room out of the former dairy which also has another TV and video. In the utility area you will find everything you need to make the holiday easier with a deep freeze, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The kitchen is a fully equipped modern eat-in kitchen and includes a dishwasher, fridge, electric oven and hob, inglenook fireplace with Rayburn solid fuel cooker, butlers sink and microwave.
Duvets and pillows - please bring own linen and towels.
Electricity and full gas central heating included.
Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.
Change over day is normally Friday and short breaks and weekend bookings are welcome out of the high season.
