Glasfor is a delightful stone cottage built in the 1800s and situated in the centre of the picturesque coastal village of Llwyngwril. The area is within the Snowdonia National Park and this beautiful part of Wales offers activities galore, the chance to relax by the coast or fun for all the family. There are seaside resorts, narrow gauge railways, historic towns, castles, museums and wonderful leisure facilities - a huge choice of places to visit and things to do for all the family, and most available all year round. Snowdonia is a great place for an active holiday and has something to suit all tastes - there are picturesque walks, cycling for all ages on designated cycle routes, beautiful picnic areas, sailing on the lakes and canoeing on the river.
From the holiday cottage it is possible to walk along the River Gwril to a shingle beach where you may be lucky enough to see dolphins playing. The village of Llwyngwril has a pub, grocery store, children's playground, church, craft room, post office and tea room, all within a stone's throw of Glasfor. It is worth exploring the surrounding area with the towns of Barmouth, Aberdovey and Machynlleth just a car ride away. The ancient church Llangelynin is only 5 minutes by car and well worth a visit and Llangollen which hosts the International Musical Eisteddfod is just 90 minutes by car. If visitors want to explore Snowdon it is about 1 hour 40 minutes and for train enthusiasts, there are several little gauge railways (Talyllyn, Fairbourne railway, Portmadoc, Blaenau, Ffestiniog and Bala railway), all within an hour's drive. Both the the RNLI visitors centre and the Centre of Alternative Technology are within easy reach. Harlech castle which enjoys the most spectacular situation with Snowdonia as a backdrop, is also just a short drive away. This is a lovely self-catering cottage in Snowdonia for a Welsh holiday!

This recently renovated stone-built self-catering cottage offers comfortable accommodation for 4 people. There are two double bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom with bath, hand held shower, basin and WC. The kitchen/diner is newly fitted and well equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave.
To the front of the property is a comfortable sitting room with TV and DVD, books, jigsaws and games. Heating is provided by electric heaters and over night storage heaters, hot water is provided by an immersion. Electricity is included in the weekly rental price.
The cottage is non smoking and the owners are sorry but no pets are permitted. Quilts, pillows, covers and blankets are provided. Parking by the side of the cottage is available for unloading and loading and public parking is available 50 yards away.
