Welsh holiday cottage location cottage pembrokeshire

Beth Ruach is a picturesque cottage built with Welsh stone and slate and architecturally designed. It is nestled in a quiet and peaceful rural setting, surrounded by open fields and moorland and only a few minutes from the sea. The area is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park famous for its outstanding beauty and wildlife. The fabulous beaches and seascapes on the St Davids Peninsular are second to none. An ideal location for a Welsh family holiday, with clean safe beaches and a wide variety of watersports.

The city of St David's is situated on the far south west coast of Wales. Granted city status by Queen Elizabeth II because of the presence of the cathedral St Davids it is in reality a small attractive village. It is surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery renowned for its beauty and abundance of wildlife. Whitesands Bay, one of the many beautiful beaches in the area, carries the prestigious European Blue Flag Award. St David's Cathedral has been the dominant presence since the 12th century and was a popular pilgrimage destination throughout the middle ages and indeed remains so to this day attracting thousands of visitors every year. Adjacent to the cathedral stand the magnificent ruins of the medieval Bishop's Palace. There is also a thriving artistic community in and around St David's with many galleries and studios to visit.

Pembrokeshire National Park is Britain's only truly coastal national park. It's a spectacular landscape of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, wooded estuaries and wild inland hills, and a place of sanctuary for wildlife. People belong here, too. They have shaped the landscape over the centuries, leaving their mark in tombs and castles, crosses and cottages, quarries and quays. Today this is a living, working landscape where people and nature co-exist in this idyllic part of Wales.

Pembrokeshire is a fantastic place to get on the water. Those seeking an active holiday have the choice of a huge range of different watersports. There are opportunities to take part in sailing, powerboating, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, diving and the local Outdoor Centre also offers land based activities such as climbing and abseiling. Sea fishing is a popular pastime in the area with the chance to land some huge fish.

Enjoy all that this stunning peninsular has to offer from the luxury of 5 star accommodation at Beth Ruach. High standards and attention to detail make this an ideal location to spend time with family or a group of friends.
