There are several walks close to the cottage - the three castles walk linking Grosmont, Skenfrith and Whitecastle passing through the farm, and Offa's Dyke, one of the most amazing structures in Britain.

There many activities in the vicinity - horse riding, pony trekking, hang-gliding, cycling, canoeing, fishing and golf are all available close by. Children will love staying on the farm, meeting the farm animals and exploring the abundant wildlife. This child-friendly and accessible cottage is 7 miles from the market town of Abergavenny, perfect for exploring the local market towns and many historical attractions. The Castles of Chepstow, Caldicot and Raglan are all around half an hour away including the famous Tintern Abbey beloved by Wordsworth. Blorenge and the Black Mountains are also a short drive.

Accommodation:
Swallow Cottage is a 2 storey detached cottage that can accommodate 6 people in 3 bedrooms. The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with woodburning stove and patio doors that lead to a small garden and patio. The cottage is comfortably furnished with sofa and armchairs and kept snug by electric heaters as well as the woodburner in the lounge. The kitchen of this self-catering cottage is well-equipped with everything required for a comfortable self-catering break including microwave and a dining table. There is a washing machine in an outbuilding close to the property.

This is an accessible cottage for a wheelchair user who is able to walk a few steps - it has a ground floor double bedroom with ensuite shower room, washbasin and wc. (A full access statement is available on request.) The cottage also has 2 bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor - one family room with double bed, single bed and cot and a twin bedroom. The first floor also has a family bathroom with wc. The cottage is set among beautiful countryside - and a small garden and patio equipped with garden furniture is the perfect place to relax and soak up the tranquil surroundings while the children explore.

Directions:
From Abergavenny take B4521 Skenfrith road for approximately 7 miles then turn left at signpost for Llanfair Green. Turn left down a drive, over a cattle grid 0.5 mile on left. Full directions available on request.

What's included:
Unlimited supply of logs and bed linen are provided and included in your rental (please note there is a charge for the electric heating). Please bring your own towels.

Change over day is Saturday but can be flexible. Guests are asked to vacate the property by 10.30 and new guests are welcome from 15.00 hours. Weekends and short breaks are available - please email for details. Discounts on lettings of 2 weeks or more.
