This unspoiled part of the country has many lovely market towns where Tudor buildings and coaching inns will charm you - Chepstow, a lovely walled city that boasts a striking castle and an atmospheric race course, is around 6 miles away. The bustling Monmouth and Abergavenny, the gorgeous Tintern Abbey, and the historic Severn Bridge are also within easy reach. The owner has other pretty cottages in the vicinity, one of which is pet-friendly. Accommodation
Wentwood View offers superb self-catering accommodation in Wales. The private annexe over three levels sleeps 6-8 people in three double bedrooms and one ajoining family room. The apartment boasts a swimming pool (open from Whitsun until September, weather permitting), several lovely gardens that are south-west facing, a deck, barbecue and a children's play area. The property is surrounded by 15 acres, and has its own babbling brook!

The accommodation has been refurbished to a very high standard. The lounge has thick sofas and comfortable furnishings. A stone fireplace complete with wood burner make it cosy on cooler evenings. The well-designed kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave and electric hob/oven. The lovely conservatory has beautiful views of the surrounding hills and provides a wonderful backdrop to evening meals. An after dinner stroll through fields and woodland along the banks of the brook can reveal all kinds of nature in the stillness of the evening.

When the weather is fine, the deck provides the perfect place to relax with a long drink and a good book, while the kids play in the fabulous swimming pool and play garden. Self catering in Wales doesn't come better than this!

From the East and South:
From the M4/M5 leave the M4 at J21 on to the M48, and crossing the old Severn Bridge leaving at Junction 2.

Follow signs to Chepstow (A466)

From the West:
Come off the M4 at Junction 24 and take the A48 sign-posted Penhow

From the North:
From the M5 at Junction 8, take the M50 which becomes the A40 at Ross. When the A40 diverts, continue on the A449 signposted Newport. Take the turning for Usk (A472) which will take you back over the road you have just come off, and imediately the B4235 signposted Chepstow.

When you rent Wentwood View, the heating, logs, electricity, bed linen, towels (but not swimming towels) are included in the rental rates.

Prices are from Ł428 to Ł896 per week, depending on the time of year. Short breaks are negotiable, at 65% - 85% of weekly rate, depending on the season - 25% of amount due is payable at the time of booking. Being only 2.5 hours from London, Wentwood View provides a perfect base for a short or long vacation.
