Haverfordwest
Pembrokeshire's county market town is Haverfordwest, conveniently located within easy reach of other important towns in the county such as St David's, , Pembroke Dock and . The town features some excellent local facilities and some great shops, with the accent firmly on locally sourced and produced goods. There is a varied range of cuisines available through the town's restaurants, a wonderful farmers' market, a delightful quay area converted to retail and commercial usage, a swimming pool with huge water slide, cinemas, theatre, go-karting, bowling and one of the best local history museums in the county. And if this is not enough, the town boasts a 13th Century castle, the oldest cricket club in Wales, a fine golf club on the outskirts of the town and is also within easy reach of some of the county's best beaches.
The famous resort of Tenby, situated on Carmarthen Bay, is a lovely 13th century medieval walled town. With its famous lifeboat station (open to the public), museum and art gallery, it also has over 4km of family-safe, sandy beaches. Boats sail to Caldey Island id just off the coast, and St Catherine's Island can be reached by foot at low tide.
