Llannerch Goch nestles amongst gorgeous scenery, and is a short drive to both the Snowdonia Mountains and coast. Hugged by forests, mountains, rivers, waterfalls and lakes, the Conwy Valley in which the cottage sits offers many outdoor activities - from walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding.
The cottage has a traditional pub in the nearby village of Capel Garmon, just 400 yards from your door,, unfortunatley it is closed at the moment however there are many Restaurants and Bistros nearby serving locally produced food so you've found an easy alternative to self-catering when the chef in your party wants the night off! This part of Wales is rich in atmospheric market towns and picturesque villages - Betws-y-Coed known for its wide range of shops, cafes and restaurants is just 2 miles from the cottage, while Llanrwst, a market straddling the river Conwy, is just 3 miles away. Admire Inigo Jones' famous bridge, then unwind with a cream tea in the surroundings of a former 16th Century courthouse at Tu Hwnt i'r Bont.
This part of Wales is walkers' paradise and every kind of walk is here whatever your level of confidence or fitness: for the energetic, there are climbs up Mount Snowdon, which can thankfully also be enjoyed via the comfort of a steam train, on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway. There are more gentler strolls through the Gwydir Forest, which also provides cyclists with a variety of tracks - from tough mountain biking to gentle cycles that all the family will enjoy. Bikes can be hired locally and the cottage provides lockable cycle storage. For anglers - rivers, upland reservoirs and the sea are within easy reach of this convenient cottage.
Tryfan cottage is perfectly situated for exploring much of North Wales - Portmerion, the fantasy Italianate village is a short drive, as is the Welsh Mountain Zoo. And the Tree Top Adventure Park is also just a few miles down the road for treetop excitement.
The nearby village of Capel Garmon is home to a neolithic burial chamber, and the area has an abundance of National Trust properties too, including the famous Bodnant Gardens. Conwy Castle also has a rich history - as the medieval walls of Edward I's Castle testify.

The cottage has a bedroom with a Kingsize bed and a twin bedroom, both with ensuite bathrooms for your convenience The master bathroom has a jacuzzi bath - perfect for soaking away the day's exertions walking or cycling in the hills - while the twin bedroom has a shower.
