Bodlondeb Holiday Cottage is beautifully restored 17th Century holiday cottage in the popular tourist village of Betws-y-Coed. The resorts sits where the River Conwy meets three tributaries flowing from the west, the Llugwy, the Lledr and the Machno. Since Victorian times, this wonderful setting has attracted visitors who come to admire the natural beauty of the area's waterfalls and riverpools. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, just outside the village. The village has shops, pubs and places to eat and is home to the Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre. Bolondeb is an excellent base from which to explore the Snowdonia National Park. As well as excellent walking, there are plenty of other outdoor activities available close by including horse riding, fishing, golf, mountain bike hire and the Tree Top Adventure Centre.
The area has a rich heritage and there are many historic houses and buildings to visit including Trefriw Woolen Mills, Plas Mawr, Conwy Castle, Bodnant Garden and Dolwyddelan Castle.
Bolondeb is the oldest house in Betws-y-Coed and was a former Coaching Inn known as the Miners Inn. Bodlondeb also had the first ever telephone exchange in the village. It has been stylishly renovated to accommodate up to 11 people. Whilst preserving the original character of the house, Bodlondeb has been recently extended to provide 5 double bedrooms with two of them having superb en-suite facilities. The spacious living room and kitchen make Bonlondeb perfect from group holidays or family gatherings. Here you can relax in comfort and style in a house that is truly like a home from home.

This 17th century stone built cottage will accommodate eleven people in comfort and has been sensitively renovated to provide a pleasant bright airy interior while retaining the original character of the house.
Entrance via the large porch provides a changing and safe storage area for outdoor clothing, boots & backpacks etc. The porch is equipped with a dehumidifier to dry outdoor clothing etc. Downstairs, there is a spacious sitting room with comfortable sofas, a TV and DVD player, and a radio and CD player. The farmhouse kitchen is well-equipped with a range cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer and a microwave oven, along with the usual range of small appliances. The separate dining room off the kitchen has a beamed ceiling and provides seating for ten so everyone can enjoy a meal together. There is an Inglenook style stone fireplace with a flame effect electric fire.
Bodlondeb has five bedrooms and will sleep 11 people. The beds are equipped with comfortable fully sprung mattresses and are dressed with quality percale fitted sheets with either duvet sets or duvets and bedspreads. The rooms are decorated to give a light and airy ambiance with ceiling lights and bedside lights for reading. Bodlondeb has thick stone walls therefore every room enjoys a peaceful setting with little intrusion from the outside world, or open the windows and listen to the birds singing! A large size cot is available (cot bedding is not provided). In addition to the two ensuite bathrooms, there is also a family bathroom. The house is centrally heated by a natural gas boiler and radiators.
There is an elevated south facing private garden. A decked area provides seating with panoramic views of the valley and a lawn with flower and shrub borders.
The drive has parking for three or four cars and is only a few minutes walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants in the village.
Prices include heating, electricity and bed linen. Please note that Bodlondeb has a no smoking policy and unfortunately we cannot accommodate pets. A high chair is available on request.
Change over day is Saturday but this can flexible depending on bookings
