This lovely townhouse sleeps 7, one of 4 self-contained wings in a unique Welsh mansion. Formed of an historic Grade II listed building that has been lovingly refurbished by the present owners, the house has many original features such as parque flooring, coving and original staircases. Argoed Hall is beautfully situated, nestling among ancient gardens, with stunning views visible from every room.
Accommodation is of a luxury standard - substantial oak fireplaces with stone built hearths; large rooms perfectly lit with chandeliers and soft lighting; comfortable sofas, clad in Italian leather, furniture crafted in oak - the living space provides a perfect place for curling up and relaxing after a day's exploring. All the mod-cons are included - the house is well equipped with Hi-fi's, docking stations, large TVs and DVD players. There are beautiful views of the grounds and river below.
The kitchen and dining space in this historic house are as immaculate and well-equipped as you would expect from such luxury accommodation - fitted oak units, solid granite work surfaces, a Belfast sink and a rangemaster stove feature in many. Oak dining tables and matching chairs provide the perfect place for a large family meal, and the views across the valley lend a spectacular backdrop.
The bedrooms in the West Wing of Argoed Hall - are furnished with oak beds and fitted with luxury cotton bed linen. While the two bathrooms have granite floors, rolltop baths and handheld showers. Fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers are provided, for that extra taste of luxury.
Outside, some 3 acres of grounds, a designated site of historical interest is a mixture of sunken gardens, giant beeches and firs and mixed woodland that children will love to explore. There is ample garden furniture and places to sit and relax with a glass of wine and take in the view. The house can be rented as a whole, divided into 4 superb townhouses, each accommodating 7-11 people in 4-5 bedrooms. This is a perfect self-catering house for Christmas, for summer, or for a special occasion at any time of year.
