This charming, traditional Welsh cottage is located in the countryside on the English / Welsh border near Llangollen in North East Wales. Situated adjacent to the River Dee the cottage is perfectly located for days out to the North Wales Coastal area with its beautiful beaches, visits to Snowdonia National Park and within close proximity to the market towns of Llangollen, Oswestry and Wrexham.

Llangollen offers a wide variety of attractions including the Steam Railway and the historical site of Valley Crusis Abbey, home of the world famous international Eisteddfod with song, music and dance held annually in July. Visitors often choose to explore, either by barge or on foot, the Shropshire union canal from Trevor wharf and over Thomas Telford’s aqueduct and beyond. There are many historical sites in the area with the chance to visit National Trust properties located at Erddig stately home, unchanged since the early 1900’s with many of the original features still in place. Also Chirk Castle, a near complete marcher fortress still occupied to this day with elegant state rooms and a host of dungeons. Powis Castle and gardens are located south of Welshpool, housing one of the finest collections of paintings and furniture in Wales, set amongst world famous gardens and Italianate terraces.

Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium are ideal family days out located within approx thirty miles of the cottage. There are three golf courses within six miles of the cottage, each individually challenging. Canoeing and rafting facilities are located nearby at Llangollen and Bala. For walkers there is a mixed range of walking amenities at the local country park, either along Offa’s Dyke or a less challenging walk along the Shropshire union canal. Three local leisure centres offer a wide range of exercise and swimming activities and the latest cinema releases can be viewed at the nearby Wrexham Odeon.

Accommodation:
This 16th Century cottage has traditional wooden beamed ceilings, exposed timbers and a large inglenook fireplace with log burning stove.

On the ground floor is a large living room, kitchen, dining room and bathroom with bath and over bath shower.

On the first floor are two large double bedrooms each with a double and a single bed and walk in wardrobes.

This delightful Welsh self-catering cottage benefits from electric heating and hot water and has a secluded location with plenty of off road parking.

There is a lawned front garden and a private lawned garden to the rear with garden furniture.

What's included:
Heating and electricity are included in the rental price and a starter pack for the stove, additional fuel available on request.

Bed linen and towels are provided.

Change over day is Friday with check in at 16.00hrs and check out at 10.00hrs.

Sorry no pets are allowed in this cottage - and there is a strict no somoking policy. Whiest this may be inconvenient for some - others we hope will be very pleased.
