Blaentrothy Cottage is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty - on the edge of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Outdoor pusuits are extremely well catered-for, from walking and riding, to mountain-biking and paragliding. Sights to see are numerous also: important historical monuments abound, such as the Roman encampment at Caerleon, the plethora of Norman castles and churches, the Mappa Mundi in Hereford Cathedral and the famous abbeys of Tintern, Llanthony and Dore. Shopping is excellent, restaurants are top-notch and pubs are plentiful and friendly. This is an idyllic Welsh holiday cottage and is ideal for a honeymoon or romantic break in Wales - it has been awarded 5 stars from the Welsh Tourist Board and it is easy to see why!

Accommodation:
The holiday cottage sleeps 2 (plus an infant up to 2 years), and provides luxury in a rustic setting. The former cart house, now converted to a very high standard, is part of the Grade 2 listed steading of Blaentrothy Farm. The layout is open-plan, with a spacious sitting-room/dining-room/kitchen and loo on the ground floor. Although an ancient building, the fittings are completely up-to-the-minute, and all mod-cons are present and correct. Babies are very well-catered-for, with the owner supplying any baby kit required.
A spiral staircase takes you up to a huge bedroom with ancient beams, an extremely comforatble bed with calming white bedding, a huge deep pile gabbeh rug and all the bedroom furniture you\'ll need. The bathroom is open-plan within the bedroom: a roll-top bath in front of the window mens that you can lie and look at the green fields outside. there is a fabulous power-shower in the corner, a wash-handbasin and a bidet.

Cleaning products are included, as is soap, cotton wool, bathrobe, loo paper, tissues, hairdryer, torch, umbrella and an endless supply of logs.
Change over day is usually Friday and short breaks and weekend bookings are welcome. Check in after 4pm; check-out: by 10.30am.
Prices are from £340 to £420 per week, depending on the time of year. Short breaks are negotiable, but are roughly £65 a night.
