If retail therapy is more your thing, the area's largest shopping town, Wrexham makes a great base with plenty of cafes to rest up and inspect your purchases. The charming market town of Mold is also a popular place to stay with its an abundance of craft and curiosity shops, teahouses and farmers markets selling local organic produce.
