Ty Canol is a hidden gem of a renovated Welsh farmhouse in south Camarthenshire. Nestled near the seaside village of Ferryside and the Three Rivers estuary of Camarthen Bay it enjoys superb views of Llanstephan with its ancient castle to the west and Carmarthen Bay towards Caldy Island and Tenby to the south west. This wonderful cottage is close to the village of Ferryside which grew from the now non-operational ferry crossing on the River Tywi on the ancient pilgrims route to St David's Cathedral. It is uncommercialised, peaceful and quiet but is also only a short drive to Carmarthen and Llanelli. Kidwelly, with its' Norman castle, industrial heritage museum, Pembrey Country Park and Motorsport centre are all within approximately 10 minutes travelling time. The National Botanical Gardens, Laugharne (famous for Dylan Thomas' Boathouse) and many Pembrokeshire attractions are about a half hour drive.

There are a large variety of attractions in the area from horse racing at Ffos Las at Trimsaran to adventure activities such as white water rafting, paintballing and sea kayaking for the more adventurous. For those wishing for a slightly less adrenalin packed break, you can take advantage of the Millenium Coastal Path at Llanelli, the National Botanical Gardens at Llanarthney or stay closer to home and use the fitness and spa facilities at the Three Rivers Hotel.
