As a base for discovering the hidden beauties of West Wales, Penyrallt Fach Cottage is ideally situated as it is located near the River Teifi which forms the county boundaries between Ceredigion with the Cambrian Mountains to the north, Carmarthenshire with its glorious gardens and Cardigan Bay to the west and Pembrokeshire to the south.
There are superb historic sites including many castles, St David's cathedral and ancient stones to visit as well as attractive small market towns and villages. The beaches of Cardigan Bay and Pembrokeshire are just a short drive away and the spectacular scenery of the Presceli Hills and the mountains of mid-Wales are equally accessible. The River Teifi is close by with its renowned fishing and canoeing.

This converted 19th century piggery on an organic dairy farm has recently been refurbished. It has a comfortable, fully equipped kitchen/dining/living room with exposed beams and a wood-burning stove. There is a farmhouse-style table with seating for 4, a sofa and easy chairs, books, board-games and a wide range of DVDs. The bedrooms are simply and attractively furnished and have exposed beams. The bathroom has a lavatory, bath, wash-basin and washing-machine.
Visitors are able to see how a real farm works and to see the cows being milked and to walk over the land with its stunning views over the Teifi Valley.
Follow the national road network to Carmarthen. From Carmarthen take A484 for about 12 miles to the village of Rhos. Turn right onto A486 for about 1/2 mile, turn right at a small cross-roads and go down the lane, past a small house and on over a stone bridge and up the track to the farm.
All heating, logs, electricity, bed linen and towels are included in the price. Sorry but pets are not allowed at the cottage.
Change over day is Saturday. Departure by 10.00am, arrival not before 3.00pm.
