Ysgubor Hen Cottage is a wonderful holiday hideaway set in an area perfect for walking the Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion Coastal Paths. The cottage is close to beautiful sandy beaches and secret coves. The nearest sandy beach is Poppit Sands which is only a 10 minute drive.

The peaceful village of St Dogmaels with its famous 12th century abbey ruins is just five minutes walk away. Cardigan, a classic old Welsh market town, is a two mile drive from this delightful Permbrokeshire self-catering cottage. The town stands on the banks of the river Teifi where Ceredigion meets Pembrokeshire and is an ancient Welsh cultural and commercial centre, now a thriving market town famous for its many festivals. Cardigan has a largely unspoilt townscape and is full of Georgian and Victorian buildings. It has a range of traditional shops, inns and places to eat, all contributing to its charming nostalgic atmosphere.

The surrounding countryside is quiet and peaceful; ideal for walkers, birdwatchers and nature lovers. The proximity to the coast means lots of opportunities to spend time on the beach, take a boat trip or walk on the coastal path. For those seeking activity and adventure Pembrokeshire has one of the best outdoor environments for a whole host of sports such as climbing, kayaking, sailing, surfing, windsurfing or scuba diving. Perfect to keep the whole family happy whilst staying in your Welsh holiday cottage. There is also a rich history and there are plenty of castles, churches and ruins to explore.

Accommodation:
Ysgubor Hen Cottage is a beautiful barn conversion just outside Cardigan.

The accommodation comprises one double bedroom and one gallery bedroom with twin beds plus an extra single pull-out bed. There is an extremely spacious living area with a central woodburning stove. The kitchen/dining area is equipped with everything you could want for a perfect break in Wales.

Outside there is a private garden complete with picnic table and parking for two cars.

Location/Directions:
Simply find your way to Cardigan, follow the road to St Dogmaels, and then go up through the village until the houses end. Ysgubor Hen Cottage is the second turning on the left.

If you reach Foxhill, you have gone too far!

What's included:
Heating and electricity are included in the rental price and also logs for the wood burning stove. Bed linen is provided but not towels. There is a small charge for well behaved pets.

Lets are available weekly and change over day is Saturday. Short breaks are available outside July/August - flexibable dates - please enquire.

Discounts available for just two staying. Extra logs available during winter breaks.
