It has recently been sympathetically refurbished throughout, so it retains the charm and peaceful atmosphere of its mid-1800's origin.
Crickhowell itself is easy to reach from all parts of the country, and is an ideal base from which to explore and discover the delights within the Brecon Beacons National Park. From the doorstep, you can enjoy many beautiful and varied walks, or fishing and canoeing on the River Usk. Close to hand you can find many outdoor activities, such as horse-riding or mountain biking. Crickhowell's charming High Street is only a five-minute walk from the cottage, and has variety of interesting shops and plenty of places to enjoy very good local food.
Further afield, you can quickly reach the National Park Visitor Centre, from which you can climb the highest peaks in the Park, and experience the beauty and majesty of the Brecon Beacons mountain range at first hand. For historians, there are many of places of interest - castles, churches and ruins. For book-lovers, Hay on Wye, the famous town of books, is only 30 minutes drive away, providing ample opportunity to browse.

The charming Grade II listed cottage sleeps up to four adults, and is well appointed throughout, having just been accredited Four Stars by the Welsh Tourist Board. On the ground floor, the sitting room is extremely comfortable, a perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring. There is a sofa and chairs and TV with DVD and CD player to create the perfect atmosphere. The owners have provided a selection of maps and local guide books for visitors to use.
The beautiful kitchen is very well equipped with a cooker, microwave oven, washing machine and a dining table for those relaxed evening meals. There is a walk-in pantry with fridge/freezer and plenty of storage space
The bathroom is of a high standard with a shower above the bath and plenty of hot water.
Upstairs, there are two comfortable and nicely decorated bedrooms, one double and one twin with (3ft beds). All linen is provided by the owners.
There is a pretty and secluded garden with views of the Llangattock escarpment. The garden is totally enclosed and very safe for children, and is equipped with garden furniture and Bar-B-Q.
All gas, electricity, heating, hot water, bed linen and towels are provided
Change over day is usually Saturday, but flexible out of high season. Short Breaks and Weekends available (out of High Season) on request.
Crickhowell is easy to reach from all directions, as it is conveniently sited on the A40 just six miles west of Abergavenny, and twelve miles east of Brecon. Full directions available from owners.
