Reading Room House is in set in the peaceful countryside of the upper Wye valley. The property sits on the outskirts of the Newbridge on Wye, tucked away at the end of a small lane signposted as a footpath. Its location offers easy access to the river Wye and walkers can join the well-known Wye valley walk from the doorstep. The river provides a haven for wildlife. Kingfishers and otters are regularly seen by its banks.
The market towns of Llandrindod Wells and Builth Wells are within easy reach, as are the smaller towns of Rhayader and Llanwrtyd Wells. As well as enjoying the local shopping, visitors to Llandrindod Wells can visit the National Cycle Collection. A unique museum dedicated to the bicycle. The beautiful Elan Valley and reservoirs are also nearby where you can visit the kite feeding centre at Gigrin Farm. A little further afield, you can also visit the medieval English border towns of Hereford and Leominster.
The surrounding countryside offers great walking, mountain biking, fishing, and birdwatching. Reading Room House offers a luxurious retreat in glorious countryside.

Reading Room House is new for 2012 and is built to the highest standard. The hallway, kitchen, lounge and dining area provide a large open plan area under an impressive vaulted ceiling. The high-spec kitchen with midi units and Baumatic appliances looks over into the large lounge and dining area on a lower level. There is a dining table and seating for six people and the lounge has a pillar box gas fire, flat screen TV and comfortable sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed.
From the hallway there are two large bedrooms, both of a contemporary design, which can be either twin beds or large doubles. Both rooms have 32 inch flat screen TVs with DVD players, hairdryers and all bed linen and towels are provided. The first bedroom has an en suite wetroom, 'his and hers' sinks with waterfall taps and a large shower area. The second bedroom has a bathroom adjacent, with a 16 jet jacuzzi bath and LED mood lighting.
The private garden area is accessed from the lounge via a 5 metre bi-fold door onto a decked area. South West facing, the bi-fold doors can be fully opened to create an inside/outside living space. There is also off road parking for two vehicles.
Reading Room House is a 'no expense spared' contemporary home with underfloor heating throughout and solar panels for hot water. It is a truly luxurious grand design, equipped to the highest of standards.
Newbridge on Wye is situated on the A470, 5 miles north of Builth Wells. When you get to Newbridge head north towards Rhayader and just as you are leaving the village you will see a turning signposted Beaulah, B4358. Turn here and head down the hill and you will see a no entry road on the left, turn right opposite this into a lane marked as a footpath with some small cottages on your right.
All heating and electricity costs are included in the rental price. Bed linen and towels are provided and beds are made up ready for guests to arrive.
Change over day is usually Saturday but there is flexibility. On change over day, arrival is after 4pm and departure before 10am unless unoccupied.
Reading Room House is Welsh Tourist board 5 star property inspected annually. All basics and condiments are included in the price and Reading Room House is equipped to a high standard.
